Our beautiful housing options allow you to find peace and comfort in a land where magic and adventure are around every corner. Purchasing a home is easy! Simply walk up to the door until a prompt appears. When the prompt shows, you'll have the option to rent the home and make it your own. Once you own the house, accessing the features is just a matter of typing t/house
, where you can enjoy all the conveniences of your new abode. Looking to make your house a home? Visit the housing store, where you can buy furniture and customize your space to your heart’s desire. Make your home a reflection of your personality and style!
Housing Rules
All homes in the Badlands are rented, with rent due on a monthly basis.
You can share homes with others, but homes cannot be transferred between players.
If you want to move on, your home must be sold back to the government so it can be made available for other citizens.
Interested in ranch life? Make sure to purchase the house associated with the ranch first! If you don't, the ranch will be repossessed without a refund.
Find your perfect slice of paradise and start your new life in the magical, mysterious Badlands!
Available housing will show on the map as a house with a dollar sign.
House Menu
Use /house to open up the housing menu.
House Management
Keyes
Give or take keys from friends/family and set their permissions.
Furniture
Allows you to move/remove already placed furniture (bought at the SD Furniture Store or from other stores)
Gates
There are some gate furniture that actually swing that you can buy and this is where you manage them after placing them.
Animals
Animal furniture that is placed is managed here.
Storage Improve
Have the upgrade items in your First Storage to use them to make ONLY First Storage bigger (Second Storage doesn't change, sorry).
Show Land
Puts down little white post markers to show where your land ends. You can only place furniture within this boundary.
Sell
Will ask if you want to Give or Sell. Give will bring up a prompt for Player ID (This is against the rules to use as it does not give people the chance to own a house). Sell will just "sell" it back to the government. (WARNING: Your full payment may not be refunded to you. The script doesn't recognize how many days you rented the house, so sell at your own risk)
Place Management
Click these when you are exactly where you would like these things to give you the prompt.
First Storage: Initial size based off number of rooms and house size.
Second Storage: 500 capacity
Clothe Storage: Changing station
Stable Position: (Does this even work?)
Prepay
Top right corner says 0/1250 (For example):
Click that number with the money in your pocket and it will set it to 1250/1250. You are now prepaid for the next two weeks, and your house will not go back to the government. It will instead pull that money exactly 14 days from when you originally rented it (shown just above the rent number) and you will have to fill it again to keep it for the following weeks after that. ---> If your house goes back to the government, all furniture that you placed will be gone, but the storage will remain.
Ranches
The following houses meant to have ranches on them:
MacFarlane's Ranch (House #9)
Beecher's Hope (House #16)
Pronghorn Ranch (House #20)
Hanging Dog Ranch (House #23)
Alder Ranch (House #31)
Maclean's House (House #50)
Guthrie Farm (House #53)
Carmody Dell (House #55)
Hill Haven Creek (House #62)
Robard Farms (House #63)
Calliga Hall (House #317)
If you rent the house, you HAVE to be active with the ranch as well. If you rent one of these houses and you don't see a ranch attached (probably because the previous owner isn't around, please open a ticket).
